2010 Stock Car Rules

APPEARANCE-Paint all cars neatly and brightly. Numbers must be lettered neatly on both sides and on top of car. Numbering must be done using minimum 24" height and 3" strip width. Must have a minimum 6" tall car numbers visible from front of car.

CHASSIS-Car frames must becompletely stock to a point 6" forward of centerline of rear axle. NO UNDER SLUNG FRAMES! Bumpers must be stock or plastic formed covers. Front and rear tow hooks must be 3/8" minimum cable or chain.

SUSPENSION-Floater rear ends are required. All trailing arms must be stock and mounted as stock. Reinforcing allowed. Rear-ends may be locked NO RACHET OR LIMITED SLIP ALLOWED. Screw jacks allowed. After-market tubular uppers and mounts allowed on front suspension only. Upper and lower trailing arms must be non adjustable stock length. They must be on original front mounts and mounted in original position. No aluminum suspension components.

ROLL CAGE-Full 4-post roll cage must be used. Three door bars on driver's side is MANDATORY! Roll bar must be braced to the frame. Main roll cage, halo, and driver door bars must be at least 1 3/4" outside diameter tubing with a minimum wall thickness of .095. Vent bar required, 1 1/4" OD minimum. Flame resistant roll cage padding required on all bars within reach of driver.

BODY-Any U.S. full body passenger car. Frame must match body. (GM on GM, etc.) Wheel base 108". Skid bars will be allowed on street stocks. They must be securely attached front and rear, no more then 1"x2" square or flat stock, mounted flush against body side panels. Tow hooks on the front and rear are recommended. After market steel bodies optional. Must be stock appearing. Aluminum fenders, doors and quarters allowed. REAR BODY PANEL OPTIONAL. REAR SPOILER HGT. 6" MAX. (MATERIAL) 4 SUPPORTS MAX. -24" LENGHT, 3" HIGH FRONT & 8" REAR AND MAY EXTEND UP TO 2" BEYOND SPOILER

SAFETY, SEATBELTS, SEATS, HELMETS AND WINDOW NETS-All seats must be made of aluminum or steel. All seats will be required to be mounted to the frame or the roll cage off the car. All cars will be required to be equipped with a minimum 5-point harness. All belts will be required to be mounted to the frame of the car or to the roll cage. helmets should be full-face shield type. All cars will be required to use a full size window net in the driver's door at all times. Fire resistant suites are required.

ENGINE-No limit on engine size, but must run GM in GM, etc. Any cast iron cylinder head that has an OEM valve angle. All cars must have an operable starter. Mechanical fuel pump only in stock location. Any 2 barrel or 4 barrel carburator. Max 1 1/2" adaptor allowed, measured from the top of the intake to the bottom of the carburator. Ignition system MSD type system may be used. #1 cylinder must be ahead of ball joint. Headers allowed, exhaust must exit under car parallel to the ground. No roller cams. All cars will be required to be equipped with a round dry element type air cleaner, maximum height 4". Maximum diameter 17". All air cleaners are required to have a complete metal top and bottom and rest on carburators. No air cleaner/air flow devices permitted.

TEAR DOWN RULE- To have a competitor's intake pulled, to check for roller cam. The protester must present a tech official $200.00 cash in the tech area before protested car has been released from tech. The protest may be filed by any driver finishing the feature on the lead lap. The protested party can refuse the tear down. The first refusal will result in loss of points and winnings for the night. The second refusal will result in the loss of points and winnings for the night and a suspension from the next two points races. The third refusal will result in a suspension for the remainder of the season. If you are found legal you will be given the $200.00 tear down money. If the protested car has anything illegal under the intake, the protesting party gets his or her money back.

FUEL-Gas only.

BATTERIES-Must be securley fastened. One only.

BRAKES-Operative 4 wheel, disc or drum combination.

DRIVE SHAFT-Must be painted white. An approved steel drive shaft safety hoop must be used at a point 6" behind front universal joint, minimum 1/4x2" and securley fastened. Drive shaft must be stock type and made of steel.

FUEL CELL-An approved manufactured fuel cell with a maximum of 22 gallons. Fuel cell will be required to ne encased in a metal container. All fuel cells must be equipped with a rollover valve in the vent fitting and in the fuel fill. It is highly recommended that all fuel cells be equipped with foam. Fuel cell will be required to be mounted to the frame of the car. Fuel cell will be required to be secured with straps or tubing around it. Fuel cell can not hang below the bottom of the rear end tubes with the car setting at rave height. All cars will be required to be equipped with a fuel cell guard that is mounted seperately from the fuel cell and comes to the bottom of the fuel cell. Minimum 1 1/2" tubing must be used for fuel guard. Mechanical fuel pump only.

MIRRORS-None

POINTS-Points will be awarded to the car driver. No changing of drivers one the racing program has started.

RADIOS-NONE and NO on board computer or transmitting devices.

SHOCKS-One per wheel. Steel body. Non adjustable.

TIRES-Any American Racer G-60, IMCA Hoosier G-60 or BTC stamped asphalt compound. No softening. Grooving and siping is allowed.

WHEELS-8" steel rims. ZUSS FASTENERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON WHEEL COVERS

WEIGHT RULE-3100lbs after race with driver.
